Joe.  Thanks for your response.

Sure I read the install, that's how I was able to generate the script that you see in the first (github) link, below.  Problem is, I'll have to rerun the script (at minimum) every time there's an emacs update.  I'm sure to forget and something will break.  Thus, I'd optimally like it installed via the emacs package manager, or less preferably, via a homebrew/linuxbrew formula (which is how I installed emacs).

I guess I'm pretty surprised that given VM is not included in emacs, there is no obvious way to install via the package manager.  (Though I'm not an expert in these things, so maybe there is ...)

Have you looked at the INSTALL file? In tree:

https://bazaar.launchpad.net/~vm/vm/trunk/view/head:/INSTALL

Packaging VM should not be necesary for usage.
