Hello wasser19641,

I haven't done any active maintaining for GNU which
for many years (although I am still the official maintainer).

The reason for that is that for a decade or so I just
never received any bug reports. 2.21 is old by now.

As a result of your mail I tried to configure it again,
in order to compile it etc... and found out that
configure.ac has severe bitrot (deprecated macros).

Moreover, the tilde/ directory is copied from bash-3.2
and now we're at bash 5.1.4...

I tried to make a start with moving GNU which to github
where I work from these days, but it turns out that I don't
even have access anymore to the CVS repository of GNU which.
Yes, CVS, not even SVN!

I mailed to gnu.org about this; not sure that if that
will lead to getting access again, me stopping being
the maintainer, or just putting everything on github
without the version control history.

Would you be interested to take over maintenance?

Kind regards,
Carlo Wood
