And Emacs obeys this. The argument is not whether Emacs obeys SIGTERM, the argument is whether user-defined hooks should run when we are hit with SIGTERM.

I did not follow this closely, but maybe this is hitting a problem in GNU/Linux? I compare with w32 where the shutdown process waits if some program has problem exiting. Regarding Stefans suggestion

I am using a modified version of ert.el for testing nXhtml. The modifications adds things like running commands and doing fontification. The modified version is part of the nXhtml distribution.

Okay... so I gather the answer is that there's no official test framework endorsed for the project as a whole. Could we say that ert.el is the leading contender?

I found the readson for why the fonts did not show up in the font selection dialog: I had to install the fonts system-wide, rather than solely for the current user. Is this the intended behavior? Che
