Yes, sure. The FreeBSD port's patches are meant to be applied in
(alphabetical) order. It's virtually impossible to provide a set of
patches that each would work on a virgin tree.
As for your linker script, yes, it seems the internal architecture
name for some CPUs has been changing over time, as the architecture
"models" have been refined.
