Hello Norbert,

Libav is working on a MVC decoder https://wiki.libav.org/Blueprint/MVC
and a new API https://wiki.libav.org/Blueprint/MultiAVFrame
but it will take some time before either is ready.

Any help along the way is appreciated of course.
