Doxygen reference manual and OVERVIEW.TXT

   Now that 1.0.0 has been released and the current releases of
Doxygen generate .png's by default instead of .gif's, I wander
if we should make a pregenerated manual in HTML available (be it
as a downloadable tarball or putting the HTML manual online or
whatever).

   Also with regards to documentation, I wonder if there are any
plans for a introductory/overview manual. In fact, OVERVIEW.TXT
would only need some updates to become a good starting for that
manual. I would suggest TexInfo as format. If no one else
volunteers to do this, I would do it, although it would have to
wait a few days...
