Hi. I skimmed it; sorry I didn't reply earlier.
Your patch fundamentally changes the meaning of --lint; something I
am not sure i want to do after so many years of the current behavior.
I think it did have some interesting bits in it that I might want to
adopt.
I am very busy with other projects right now. I will try to not let
this fall through the cracks, but it may be a while before i get
to really think about it more.
