It seems newer versions of gawk on Windows, require a least a couple
DLLS in the path with the gawk binary.
I was previously using a much older version of gawk that didn't rely
on the DLLs, 4.1.6 I think was the version.
Is this just because of new functionality within gawk 4.2.0?
