Now the displaying of the text seems to work just fine, but I found
another problem concerning cursor display.
If you type
a C-q C-i b C-b C-b
the cursor ends up being displayed at the beginning of the display
line where the "b" is (that is, the second line if you e.g. have
tab-width 100 on a 80 char wide term), rather than after the "a". It
will then end up over the "a" if you move it backwards once more (with
another C-b).
