Sounds good.  So maybe the option should be something like "diff
--modechange" or "diff --extended" or <something generic>.  Especially
if multiple VC's are implementing the same thing.

Well, whatever.

I don't mean to be picayune about your wording, I'm just wondering if
I'm completely confused (not for the first or last time).
