Thanks for the bug reports.  I have just committed a patch which I
hope fixes the problem, but I'm not sure.  Unfortunately the bug shows
up very rarely on my system, which makes it very difficult to test.
Please let me know if you notice the problem when using the latest CVS
code, or a snapshot dated 020915 or later.
