Again for being rejected due to too large attachement.
Can you send the problematic output in some graphical format
(pdf/png)?
Attached you'll find four PNG files containing the described behaviour.
Example.png: Output from example code I've posted.
Example (Fix1).png: ... variation #1
Example (Fix2).png: ... #2
Additionally I included an example output with raggedright = ##t.
As you will see the stem behaviour is a bit different from what I've
written before. That's what worries me most as I can't see any clear
rule for misattachment and its behaviour.
But after all it also appears in a choral score I'm currently
typesetting. The same behaviour there: Depending on what I add to the
input code on eor the other stem gets misattached.
Perhaps some other WinXP user can verify what I observed.
