New issue 1331 by v.villenave: Enhancement: add panning support to the MIDI
backend
http://code.google.com/p/lilypond/issues/detail?id=1331
An interesting feature was just requested by Jan WarchoĊ:
http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/bug-lilypond/2010-10/msg00299.html
MIDI voices have stereo sound abilities: they may sound more from the left
speaker than the right speaker, for instance. IWBN to have this in LilyPond
(implemented as a context property, like midiInstrument?): a Voice context
could be set to sound only from the left speaker, a second Voice only from
the right speaker and a third one would sound from both.
(Bug Meister's note: additionally, this property could be reset on-the-fly,
maybe even on a sustained note, thus resulting in kitschy pseudo-vibratos
-- what, don't you guys miss the eighties? ;-)
