Of course, I checked it BEFORE sending test results (I took a look at 'tf'
and 'tvf' results -- was same as from tar or star).
BSD tar IS much faster in archive contents listing :-).
Without inspecting the sources I supposed it can only take place with
on disk tar files (so I wrote to Tim Kientzle).
