If you want to keep it under rpm management, then download the ddd 3.3
source rpm, install this srpm, then go to /usr/src/redhat/SPECS and do a
"rpm -bb ddd.spec".  This will build the binary rpm (it will end up in
../RPMS/i386 or whichever), and this rpm will be linked against the
versions of libraries you have on your system.

Make sure you have the appropriate "devel" libaries installed before
trying to compile - ncurses, lesstif, whichever other ones it complains
about.
