Re: DDD 3.3-1 on Redhat 6.1

I have installed ddd 3.3 on a RH6.2 box and am using it without 
problems. I initially installed the rpm version and when I saw that it 
was running in monochrome mode (I think the rpm is statically linked to 
the wrong version of Motif compatibility lib) and so took out the rpm 
and built from sources without any problems. I can give you a bit of 
info on how I did it and hope that it might help you.

First I installed LessTif which went without any problems. Becuase the 
LessTif lib was in a path that could not be found, I added the library 
path to the /etc/ld.so.conf file..

/usr/local/LessTif/Motif2.0/lib

and ran /sbin/ldconfig

I configured ddd as follows...

./configure --with-motif-includes=/usr/local/LessTif/Motif2.0/include 
--with-motif-libraries=/usr/local/LessTif/Motif2.0/lib

The rest went without problems.

I am not sure about your other libs and assume that the versions in RH 
6.2 are what ddd is looking for.
