You're probably using GCC 2.7.2 or earlier.  DDD 3.3 wants GCC 2.95 or
later.  You can either install GCC 2.95.2, or download up-to-date
files from the CVS repository (via the DDD home page), or wait for DDD
3.3.1 (out soon now).
