Both your solutions work great for me, thank you!

I found that I couldn't type the Section Sign § directly into the Denemo dialog boxes. (I'm using 1.1.4 for Windows.) I don't have a § key on my keyboard, so I have to use Alt+21 or Alt+0167 to type it, but the dialog boxes don't accept those for some reason. But I was able to type the character in Notepad and then copy/paste it into the Denemo dialog.

Your suggestion to Advanced-edit a standalone Textual Annotation directive works great too, and it avoids the § issue for me. I have some experience with LilyPond syntax, so this is fine.

For anyone else who might read this, the LilyPond documentation for \super and other text markup syntax is here: http://www.lilypond.org/doc/v2.18/Documentation/notation/formatting-text

Thanks again!

Sorry, I notice I switched to giving the example "A" as Roman Numeral
"I" is rendered looking like "l" and "1" in some typefaces ...

I§\super 6§

is for the example you asked about.
