Could someone else download this file, try to untar it and give us md5sum ?
Just downloaded it now (8:27 EST Aug 8)...

[tyson@whitehead2 tyson]$ md5sum core.20010807.tar.bz2
75505a82b1d8152415628d913f2ca3c8  core.20010807.tar.bz2
[tyson@whitehead2 tyson]$ tar xIf core.20010807.tar.bz2

No problems here.  Strange with all the different md5 sums kicking around.  The highly suspecious would figure someones machine has been compomised or spoofed...

PS:  Here's what everyone else got so far:

Gregory got:

 >| [root@genoa /data2]# md5sum core.20010807.tar.bz2
 >| 9a2bc3b6dcbdf041e4ebe5a9cc41fb2d  core.20010807.tar.bz2
 >| [root@genoa /data2]# bzip2 -ttv core.20010807.tar.bz2
 >|   core.20010807.tar.bz2: data integrity (CRC) error in data
Manuel got:
