Face it people, the only way to have any drastic change is by
replacing the OpenStep hig (used as current GNUstep hig) with another
hig base on the new design. By doing that gui developers needs to work
harder. I guess alexm will never like this, the worst case is if he fork -gui,
a large number of our developers (if the current number can be considered large)
will join him, and if he didn't do that I'll do that myself, ok,
enough of dramatics.
Now my point is, if you cannot stand the current -gui, why don't you
guys just fork it,
or even better, focus on serious application development, which is a far more
important issue? Now the discussion looks like we have a lot of time
and resource
to spend. And it doesn't look like any developer is supporting this move. Is it
better if we can discuss this again when we have enough applications, so
the user that we already attracted them by the new theme, won't turn back
after they found there is no application for them?
