I recently introduced XML-RPC to GNU Bayonne and the GNUCOMM meta project thru the new Apennine server. I think going in this direction in GEAS would also be good.

All this talk about UIs and midlleware makes me wanna ask if anyone ever
check out GNUe forms client or GEAS GNUe Application server?

code, so sue me ;) ).

Do you see ways in which the GNUe and DotGNU projects could
cooperate?

Yes I see LOTS of ways and I hope to have a proposal ready soon as I
have been working on some ideas for OO communication independence
(CORBA, xml-rpc, SOAP, RMI, etc.) as this is what we desire in GEAS. I
also have been looking at the ODMG (http://www.odmg.org)spec for OO db
abstraction stuff.
