  Maybe some basic styles should be provided, like „black on white (default)“ 
and „white on black“.
  Changing themes is a feature offered by many editors. It is strange not to 
find this in a GNU Emacs menu option.

  Integrating color-theme.el [1] can be very useful since it is a commonly 
installed package (look for Emacs screenshots and you won't see many default
