Yes, it seems to.

The 'e' and 'o' in 'Jerome' which were causing the problem before now
appear as tiny little characters, but at least Emacs doesn't crash.

Here's a small image capture which shows how the 4 'Jerome's in the
ChangeLog appear when I use font '9x15':

I guess this is a bug in the font which I need to report to the
distribution - do you agree?
