Hello :-)

New build/installs of gnokii 0.6.29 and the master source (downloaded
15apr12) are segfaulting on a new Slackware64 13.37 Linux installation.

gnokii --deletecalendarnote 1 end
GNOKII Version 0.6.29
LOG: debug mask is 0x1
Config read from file /home/c/.config/gnokii/config.
Lockfile /var/lock/LCK..1 is stale. Overriding it...
phone instance config:
model = series40
port = 1
connection = dku2libusb
initlength = default
serial_baudrate = 19200
serial_write_usleep = -1
handshake = software
require_dcd = 0
smsc_timeout = 10
rfcomm_channel = 0
sm_retry = 0

Serial device: opening device USB
Ignoring extra header, type 171, length 5
Found FBUS interface
Segmentation fault

Similar for:
gnokii --monitor
gnokii --getsms ME 1
gnokii --getphonebook ME 1
gnokii --identify

The phone is a Nokia 5130c-2 and has been working OK on Slackware64 13.1
with gnokii built from the master source downloaded on 22jun11 and the
same config file.

The functional lines of the config file are:
[global]
port = 1
model = series40
initlength = default
connection = dku2libusb
use_locking = yes
serial_baudrate = 19200
smsc_timeout = 10
[xgnokii]
allow_breakage = 0
[gnokiid]
bindir = /usr/local/sbin/
[connect_script]
TELEPHONE = 12345678
[disconnect_script]
[logging]
debug = on
rlpdebug = off
xdebug = off
[phone_fake]
port = foobar
model = fake
connection = serial
[fake_driver]
sms_inbox = /tmp/sms

The build procedure (same as used to build the 22jun11 master source) is
hard to summarise. Maybe the following is enough (if not I can provide
more):
libtoolize -c -f
glib-gettextize -f -c
intltoolize --force --copy --automake
aclocal -I m4/
autoheader -I m4/
automake --add-missing
autoconf
