"tla undo -- files ..." for deleted files fits the bill well. It allows
users used to the "rm-then-update" idiom to get their work done with
minimal fuss, even after they did that "rm they should not have done in
the first place".

Of course, it's better to educate users on more correct ways to solve
their problems, but it's often much more important for them to solve the
problem at hand right now.
