Inventory behaviour is described in the (default) contents of
{arch}/=tagging-method, also available as the output of "tla
id-tagging-defaults".

Probably.

Nope; by default, "tla inventory" will only list files.  Use
"--directories" or "--both" if you want directories instead/as well.
