archive-mirror is valuble when you frequently interact with remote archives. That probably doesn't apply to your project.

star-merge is one of the most often used and important tla commands.


I didn't realise that the other merge commands were used much -
I haven't read about them, and couldn't even name them without
going to the help.

If we're dropping merge commands, we should drop 'update'. star-merge can be used anywhere update can, but update isn't as flexible.
