Perhaps because

$ mv /usr/bin/tla /usr/bin/tla.real
mv: cannot move `/usr/bin/tla' to `/usr/bin/tla.real': Permission denied

But you could have the script tla at the beginning of your path, so,
my objection can be worked around.
