Thanks a lot for raising this point Phil! It is a valid point and helps a lot
in managing the operating system files.
It has been implemented in

50f778a3]; so it will be available in Gnuastro 0.23; but if you would like to
try it out, the latest Gnuastro source, that always points to the latest
Commit on the 'master' branch is available with its PDF manual in the links
