Hi mail-list.
In first, sorry for my english (i came from spain). I can read or translate english to spanish but i write english very (very) bad because i'm not used to do it.

(ok, after the apology ;-)

I was looking for a medical software because I have to realize the management of a psychiatric clinic when I found the project debian-med that took me to gnumed.

I am interested in gnumed and because of it I write to you.

I have a problem to open the application:
     $python or $./

I have read the documentation and file docs and followed all the steps.

    System: Debian-sid (last upgrade)
    gnumed from CVS last update
    python 2.3.3
    postgresql 7.4.1

I executed :
 $python --conf-file=gm-debian-postinst.conf

    I have verified that the whole structure has been created in postgresql and with psql can accede to the test information.
The problem is when i login with real user and password in gnumed, the debug messages are:
 Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/home/joff/cvsroot/gnumed/gnumed/client/wxpython/", line 239, in ?
  File "/home/joff/cvsroot/gnumed/gnumed/client/wxpython/", line 755, in main
    app = gmApp(0)
  File "/usr/lib/python2.3/site-packages/wxPython/", line 1951, in __init__
  File "/home/joff/cvsroot/gnumed/gnumed/client/wxpython/", line 623, in OnInit
    frame = gmTopLevelFrame(None, -1, _('GnuMed client'), (640,440))
  File "/home/joff/cvsroot/gnumed/gnumed/client/wxpython/", line 123, in __init__
    self.updateTitle(anActivity = _("idle"))
  File "/home/joff/cvsroot/gnumed/gnumed/client/wxpython/", line 560, in updateTitle
    title = "GnuMed address@hidden %s: %s" % (_whoami.get_staff_name(), _whoami.get_workplace(), self.title_activity, pat_str)
  File "/home/joff/cvsroot/gnumed/gnumed/client/python-common/", line 95, in get_staff_name
    raise ValueError, _('no staff name on file for current database login')
ValueError: no staff name on file for current database login

All the trace is in attachments.

Thank you very much, I wait for your answers.

Ahh, is there someone doing an es.po?, i would like to do it.
