Elene is more correct
Whether there is a H sound or not is a separate marker above the first eta (e) 
but this is often dropped now.

As no one in our practice can read Farsi or Thai or Chinese, we use the 
transliteration used by the immigration officials when someone arrives.
(Yes, we do stretch to Arabic and Hindi as well as Greek and Cyrillic scripts)
