Hi David Thanks for the link. I am on the list. Regards, Dan Stirling From: David Hill
[mailto:address@hidden Hi Dan, Sounds like a worthwhile pilot project. There are archives of previous messages at: Whenever I write to someone about gnuspeech, unless it is
private, I send a copy to the list at: as I have done with this one. Occasionally I forget! :-( I presume you are on the list (I haven't checked). You should
have received several mailing recently, including one today about a newly
available paper and one a cuple of days ago providing a list of a whole bunch
of gnuspeech-related papers. Do you have the GNU/Linux version of gnuspeech installed
& running under GNUStep? You should also try the Mac version for comparison
as, due to circumstances, it is a little further developed. Any help with the
GNU/Linux version would be more than welcome. All good wishes. david ------- On Oct 29, 2010, at 1:53 PM, Dan Stirling wrote:
Hi
David I
have been following the gnuspeech group for some time and am looking for a good
suggestion for a speech to text device project. I am trying to put together a
demonstration of the capabilities. My
project will scan and read a postage size bar code that contains about 1,000
characters. These character string will then be stored and processed into
speech. My test board is a Beagleboard (Linux) using a TI processor and will
use a camera vision system for scanning. The audio will be sent using a Codec
to a speaker. Are
there archives of your message sent to others? I am just looking for the
pointer in the right direction, I will do the leg work. Best
Regards, Dan
