Today I could verify, and Marcelo confirmed to me, that the GNUStep branch is quite synchronized with the Mac OSX one.

I found also that I was missing two services from GNUStep:
gpbs
gdnc

I put these commands in my .bashrc, and now, no more problems with unresponsiveness.

I added Debian-specific information in the INSTALL.GNUStep file, see attached. Feel free to use it, if you find useful (no need to keep my name there, just to mark my modifications).
