OK, then we have slightly different terminfo databases.
I have ncurses-5.2, you have ncurse-5.3.
The only relevant ChangeLog entry seems to be
* Fri Jan 31 2003 Adrian Havill <havill@redhat.com> 5.3-3
- remunged xterm changes from 5.2 patch for 5.3
Whether this is the cause of the problems you have, I couldn't say,
though, I'm afraid.
