C-x C-f to reach the Emacs leim path where you copied the sanskrit.el file and execute:
M-x byte-compile-file sanskrit.el
I get error as this one: sanskrit.el:33:2:Warning: `"#a"' is a malformed function
can anyone enlighten me on this problem
