Either since your .ly file didn't have any \score{...} 
section or since Lilypond found some error in the input
file. The interesting error printouts are the one above
the line you quoted. What happens if you call Lilypond 
directly, 'lilypond <file>.ly', do you get any <file>.tex 
file? 

When you send a question to the mailing list, please specify 
which Lilypond version and platform you use, otherwise we will
assume that you run the latest development version under Linux.
