First of all, please try the latest release 1.3.150 instead, 
it has fewer bugs and better documentation.

This is one of the problems. When you ran configure, you 
probably got a warning that mfplain.mp wasn't found.
This problem is mentioned in INSTALL.txt. The command 
'kpsewhich mp mfplain.mp' will return the path to the file
if you have it on your system.

>     import find
> ImportError: No module named find

What version of Python do you use. Again, INSTALL.txt will
give you more information on what's needed.
