I want to install octave on a Linux and a Windows network for multiuser
targets. On a Linux system, I think it is not very hard to do. On a Windows
system, there are some troubles with the paths.
For example: using "cd ..", it isn't possible to get below the directory where
octave was installed.
So when many users want to load octave from a server or something they al have
to work in a subdirectory of the octave directory. This is not a good solution
I would like to know if someone has found a better solution.
What I also would like to know is why "cd .." in octave in Linux doesn't have
the same directory restriction.
Best regards,
