| for the figure command, where it is clearly stated that 'figure'

| command does not work with a gnuplot terminal other than X11.
In 2.9.x the figure command will work for any terminal type because
Octave starts a separate gnuplot process for each figure instead of
relying on the gnuplot terminal to provide this feature.
