As I said, jhandles has not been ported to Mac OS X. What you see is
the result of the configure script not detecting Java correctly on your system.
Use the "-verbose" flag to see the result of the configure script. But
basically, the problem is that the configure script is not designed to run
OK under Mac OS X.
