Yeh, the shortcut now reads: C:\Octave\3.2.4_gcc-4.4.0\bin\octave-3.2.4.exe--silent But i've also tried C:\Octave\3.2.4_gcc-4.4.0\bin\octave-3.2.4--silent.exe and many other combinations. It just says its a incorrect path -------------------------------------------------- From: "Andy Buckle" <address@hidden> Sent: Sunday, October 10, 2010 10:16 PM To: "Peter Dawes" <address@hidden> Cc: "Martin Helm" <address@hidden>; <address@hidden> Subject: Re: Getting Started

It doesn't seem to be working with any of the other command line functions like the matlab compatibility"--braindead" or "--traditional" either. Have I installed it incorrectly or something or is there something else I can do?You modified the properties of the shortcut that you are using, and it did not work? I tried it, and it works for me... Andy
