It should make no difference, neither in Octave nor in Inkscape. The
pdf Octave output and the svg Inkscape output are both vector formats,
and the resolution you set should be irrelevant unless you embed some
bitmap objects, wich is not the normal case with graphics and I think
never happens when using 'plot'.
