When I commit files via cvs, I would like it to also automatically ftp the files to a website. I saw a program called CVSviaFTP which seems to do this, but it seems like overkill, and I don't even know how to compile it on my machine (yes, I'm a lame newbie). Isn't there some simple script out there which can do this? Thank you.
Have a look at what loginfo can do for you: http://ximbiot.com/cvs/manual/cvs-1.11.20/cvs_18.html#SEC175
You should be able to modify the instructions in the section "Keeping a checked out copy" to suit your needs.
