http://code.google.com/p/lilypond/issues/detail?id=3330I've come to the conclusion that \line { } should result in an empty stencil (that is, not even spacing or an empty line). The reason is that several header fields are placed into \fill-line with the expectation that an empty header does not use vertical space. And there is no sense in \fill-line { } being an empty stencil and \line { } not being so. If you actually want an empty line, you need to use \hspace #0 or \null or something else that is not empty horizontally.
