It doesn't (more exactly it produces ugly output) on my computer: see

It might be a TeX bug with my TeXlive 2007 installation.  2.11.26 PDF
from official docs is OK, but it uses an older texinfo.tex; I'm
impatient to see what the official .28 PDFs will look like.
