The version number in the footer corresponds to the
program version that was used to create the file. The
two main possibilities are,
- You have a newer version of LilyPond but if failed to
compile your .ly file so the PDF file you are viewing is
and old copy (check the date of the file).
- You didn't manage to install the newer version. What
operating system do you have? If you are on Windows,
always make sure to first uninstall the older version
before installing a new version.

I installed a newer version of LP (2.11.10), and used 'convert-ly' to
convert my files. But when I run lilypond (in jEdit with
lilypondtool), it tells me that the version is too old (cites the
previous version - 2.11.6). It correctly compiles the file, but the
footer still says version 2.11.6 on the last page.
Does anyone know what's going on?
