To those who've had problems with lynx on HotMail-
I suggest you switch www.mailcity.com.
They still support lynx, though I can't say for how much longer.
I've had an account with hotmail for years, but today I finally gave up
on them. I've had to use a GUI browser to make folders for about a year,
and now I can't even read my folders nor send ANY mail with lynx.
The hotmail "help" center:
o What kind of Browser do I need in order to use Hotmail?
At the current time, we do not support text based browsers. To ensure
full use of the features of Hotmail, please use a graphical browser.
We recommend downloading the latest version of Microsoft "Internet
Explorer" at [11]www.microsoft.com, or the latest version of "Netscape
Navigator" at [12]www.netscape.com
I'm convinced that MicroSoft will do nothing to support lynx.
Remember that deal that MicroSoft made with Communist China a few months
ago - providing the *only* browser to the *only* telecom company in the
country. A browser with "undisclosed technology" ? How long do
you suppose it will be before this "undisclosed technology" shows up in
the good ol' USA ? Is it time to start a new, free, Internet ?
