i've been trying the little Brazilian browser Dillo
http://dillo.cipsga.org.br/ ,
which is really very good for an alpha: to configure edit a simple rc file
& for bookmarks simply copy over the Lynx file minus the 1st 2 lines!
only 1 crash so far (something among the bookmarks)
& it refuses to bother you with cookies or flash the blinking ads!
to save individual images, right-click on image & 'save link as';
to download tar.gz , ditto on link.
doesn't do frames or JS, but it's very fast (faster than Galeon or Opera),
tho' i haven't tried it at 56 K , only broadband.
if only there could be Lynx 3.0 along the same lines ...
