I have a code which runs forward solves of Navier Stokes with a 4th order etd
method.  It works fine on matlab and on octave 3.2.3 on my mac, but when i
submit to queue or even run it on a linux workstation running 3.2.4, it
consistently blows up!  (as though something were wrong with the code - such a
situation would ordinarily be remedied by).  Other than standard operations,
it runs a number of FFTs.

Further to this, I have now run the exact same code on another Linux machine
(SuSe v.11) with octave 3.2.3 and it also blows up!

The code (attached) is run by the command EVG and then the energy should
remain roughly constant and order 1.  On the first machine (3.2.4) it blows up
at 482

octave:14> en(482)
ans =  2.1751e+05

The second (3.2.3) it blows up later

octave:17> en(533)
ans =  9.6420e+05
