Follow-up Comment #28, bug #49118 (project octave):

I think that comment #1 and Rik's comment #8 are saying that linux builts with
qt5 do NOT have this problem.

My tiny patch fully solves the original issue of this bug report (linux builts
with qt4). Maybe the discussion of further improvements to qt5 builts in
mxe-octave could be continued in a seperate bug report.
